Even the most sophisticated digital instrument panel gauge is not eligible not too have problems. This CFMOTO 300SR panel gauge is blackout no display function as shown on this video sent by a friend.
After replacing the battery. The panel went to no display all of a sudden. It was then sent to me for troubleshooting. Opening the body case is not as easy as you all think with 4 screws out still the front cover is somehow glued to the back cover and extra precaution is needed frying it open. remove the TFT screen ribbon cable to the mainboard as shown.
then the mainboard will be exposed. Upon immediate check. the whole board system voltage is missing, that is why there is a blank display. There are test points of voltages present so it is an easy task to component level skilled technician like me. the culprit is the main system 5V regulator was defective.
after replacing the defective part. the UNIT turned on immediately after powering the unit.
